Disability Equality Scotland, as umbrella organisation for the Access Panels, aims to support the Panels in any way they can. This includes helping to build the capacity and ability of the panel members to ensure they grow and develop, and that Panels are sustained in the coming years. It is also to ensure that Panels promote themselves and are recognised as positive contributors to community development.

The most important aim, for us all, is to do all we can to improve and build the confidence of members so that your Panel can do more to help disabled people and others in your local community.

Disability Equality Scotland will continually review and re-assess the training needs of Panels and commit to delivering relevant training where and when possible.
