SDEF have organised a series of training sessions to address the further training needs of Access Panels. Using feedback from our last training programme and the Access Panel Audit we have chosen subjects that Access Panels have indicated they need.
We have arranged 5 all day training events at 5 locations across Scotland. Each event will deliver a different subject as detailed below. You can choose to attend all five or just those you are interested in, although you may have to travel a little further to attend your chosen events.
Each event will have a maximum of 20 delegates. Events will not go ahead unless a minimum of 15 delegates have registered.
A £90.00 fee will be charged per delegate for each event. The fee includes lunch, refreshments and all training materials.
Payment for the event(s) will be automatically deducted from the Access Panel Grant Fund allocation for each Panel. For this reason, booking forms must be accompanied by an APG Deduction Authorisation form signed by three Office Bearers from the Panel. This provides SDEF with the permission to deduct fee payments from your Grant Funding allocation as required. Please Note: if the Panel does not have three Office Bearers please contact us to discuss suitable alternative signatories.
All travel, overnight accommodation and meals (except for lunch on the day of the event) are not included in the delegate fee and are the responsibility of delegates. Expenses can be claimed from the Access Panel Grant Fund by the Access Panel. Delegates must therefore seek consent from their Panel to attend and complete the necessary registration forms, before submitting to SDEF to ensure they can re-claim all costs.
Please circulate this information to your members as soon as possible as places at each event will be allocated on a first come basis. If more than one panel member wishes to attend the first booking received will be allocated a place. All subsequent bookings will be placed on a reserve list to be allocated a place if available after the closing date.
The closing date for booking is 15 July 2015. If for any reason you are unable to complete the Deduction Authorisation Form before this deadline the Booking Form can be returned separately. We just ask that the Authorisation Form is received by us at least one week before the first event being booked.
