I promised I would come back to folk on the meeting regarding new train designs which I attended along with Pat McGuigan. Firstly let me say I am in awe of Pats knowledge of trains and their specifications.
It was very interesting and the basic design was met with a lot of approval. Initial reaction is that the rail company have put a lot of thought into the design and is a vast improvement. There were quite a few suggestions around communication of information and it looks like a hearing loop is going to be included in the design now. I will be meeting the Scottish Disabled Supporters Association in the next few weeks to discuss how we can work in partnership across the country, another interesting development.
